This season, we’re staying close to home. After a thorough restoration, our mascot — the little Cinquecento — is ready for a road trip. For ten months, our chocolatiers will be travelling through Belgium’s ten provinces. Each province gets its own chocolate, and you can taste them for free in all Valentino stores.

Taste and win!

But that’s not all: you get to decide which pralines will earn a spot in our permanent collection. Come and taste the Chocolate of the Month and give it your score on our scorecard. First stop: Flemish Brabant

Vroom, vroom… we’re off!
Our little Cinquecento is ready for the first ride of the season. After a beautiful trip through Bruegel-style landscapes, we arrive in Flemish Brabant.

Between golden cornfields and stately castles, our chocolatiers stumble upon a local dairy. There, they discover creamy rice pudding made with fresh milk and a hint of brown sugar — perfect for a chocolate!

Second Stop: – taste the flavour of Liège

Liège waffles, Liège meatballs… The province of the Fiery City is full of delights. After a drive on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and a relaxing day in Chaudfontaine, our chocolatiers found inspiration in another local classic: Liège syrup!

Chocolate of the Month: Sirop de Liège – a fruity twist

Third stop - taste the flavours of East Flanders

Between the Meetjesland and the Flemish Ardennes, our chocolatiers enjoyed a plate of meatballs with cherries. Not just any cherries, but the famous Kriekepot! This cherry sauce has found its way into many chip shops and ice cream parlours. But does it also go with chocolates? After plenty of tasting, we can confirm: Kriekepot + chocolate = a match made in East Flanders!

Fourth destination: Limburg

Bobbin lace in Bokrijk, exploring C-mine, Christmas shopping in Maasmechelen… Cinquecento clocks its miles in beautiful Limburg! Charmed by Limburg’s warm hospitality, our chocolatiers enjoy a comforting glass of Hasseltse Koffie. Between the sparkling lights of Winterland, a festive toast rises: here’s to a new chocolate!

Their fifth stop: Hainaut.

Specially for this province, they created a delicious chocolate inspired by the carré confiture. A unique creation featuring puff pastry, apricot jam and Belgian chocolate. Taste it now, while stocks last!

The taste of Antwerp: Passionfruit and caramel

The new Chocolate of the Month is here! Sixth stop: Antwerp! Our chocolatiers fell in love with Antwerp and made a very romantic chocolate with passionfruit and caramel. Curious to taste the result? Come and enjoy a free tasting of the Chocolate of the Month now at your favourite Valentino store!

The taste of Brussels: Easter Egg Speculoos

Off to BXL, the city of the 'kiekefretters'! Like true ketjes, our chocolatiers climbed the Atomium, struck a pose on the Grand Place and indulged in waffles, stoemp and speculoos to their heart's content. Inspired by Magritte's iconic "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", they add a Brussels twist: this is not a chocolate, but an Easter egg of the month!

The taste of Namur: Cookie crunch

Our chocolatiers set out for Namur with a mission: to find the best baker in the country. The aroma of freshly baked cookies led them to the picturesque village of Warnant, to master baker Destrée. While enjoying his biscuits, they dreamed of a marriage between biscuits and chocolate. And so it happened: a unique cookie chocolate with hazelnut gianduja was born!

The taste of Luxembourg: Orval and marzipan

In beautiful Luxembourg, our chocolatiers stumbled upon a remarkable place: Orval Abbey. During a beer tasting, they struck a deal with the Trappist monks: Orval’s secret recipe in exchange for a chocolate of their own.

After a quick prayer, they slipped between the beer barrels for a sweet experiment. The result? A very mysterious Chocolate of the Month…

Last Stop: West Flanders

After a beautiful journey through the vast polders, our chocolatiers arrive in West Flanders. With the sun on their faces and sand between their toes, they enjoy the Belgian coast. And what do they hear there? Not only the sound of the waves, but also: “Boules de Berlin, Berlin doughnuts!” Perfect inspiration for their last chocolate!
